Girls’ bedroom chair

We found this chair at a garage sale probably 6 years ago. 

It was all of $5.

I honestly thought for those six years that I would learn how to reupholster furniture and start with this adorable chair.

Well that didn’t happen!

It has been sitting “as is” in our girls’ playroom and/or bedroom long enough.  So we found a sweet lady to trade services with and we got to work!

We of course wanted to paint the exposed wood, so I removed all the nailheads and pulled back the fabric and cushion.

 

Then I refinished the arms and legs in our Antique White finish.

 

I found the perfect fabric for our girls’ bedroom!

It has the French linen feel with an alphabet “monogram” print.

Perfect!

Then we sent our chair off to be reupholstered  … and voilà!

 

We absolutely love the chair!
