In addition to furniture and home design, I love hosting & planning parties and showers!
Lucky for me, I’m blessed with many babies in our life so there’s always someone special to celebrate.
Here’s a glimpse of a few baby showers I’ve hosted with some fabulous ladies recently.

Sweet {pink} baby girl shower
{lavender and lace} baby shower
My most recent shower was the Lavender and Lace baby shower. I was thrilled to host with three other sweet & creative ladies.
We wanted a unique craft for the guests to participate in so I thought it would be perfect to build a set of blocks for baby Ellie Beth.
I came up with a color scheme, gathered supplies and got to work.
My supplies included:
- 1.5” x 1.5” wood blocks (purchased at Hobby Lobby)
- Mod Podge
- foam brushes
- sticker letters & numbers
- decorative stickers
- scrapbook paper cut into squares for backgrounds
- scrapbook paper cut into shapes using Cricut
- “handmade for you” stamp with ink
Simply make a set of instructions for your guests and provide the listed supplies for everyone to get creative!
STEP ONE: Grab a building block and select 6 pre-cute background squares. Use a foam brush to attach a square to each side of you block with Mod Podge.
STEP TWO: Decorate your block with 2 letters or numbers AND 3 stickers or pre-cut shapes.
STEP THREE: Use the “handmade for you” stamp to fill the last square on your block and sign your name.
After all blocks were complete I added a coat of Mod Podge to each block to protect them.
The “craft station” was a big hit and we ended up with a wonderful keepsake for Ellie Beth and her Mommy to cherish for years to come.
